If it's under a week you could more than likely contact ebay and explain what happened.

| I just pay for ebay stuff through Paypal using a credit card, or if possible cash on collection, because you dont get ripped off that way. This especially goes for dive gear. I tend to also buy, only within 100 miles of my current location. But if im likely to be somewhere else on a diving trip i might consider further afield. But i wouldnt trust paypal with my bank details, there are enough horror stories online regarding money disappearing from peoples bank accounts for me to not want to use that route. Pay by plastic, and get the guarantees, or pay by cash in person and then you know where they live if they leave you negative feedback (which tends not to happen for that reason).

| PayPal Eyup James, Every sympathy with you mate, I was ripped off by PayPal last year, even when I pointed out that fraud was taking place!! by unscrupulous persons buying from me. There was also evidence by others who had been ripped off also. The old trick of paying by PayPal,receiving goods, and then withdrawing payment. PayPal were given all the evidence and took 2 months to decide that they couldn't do anything and advised civil claim. No support, no claimback as stated in their pre-amble when joining!! absolute rubbish. I only pay by cheque or cash, and accept accordingly. I have stopped my PayPal account. Pity others don't do the same, it would serve them right!! Regards, Diverdave. |
