I've only ever had 1 problem with a non payer he didn't answer any emails or anything else even the reminder from ebay saying I had started a nonpayment dispute only after that finished did I leave neg feedback for him, I then discovered that he had left me neg feedback saying I didn't sell the item to him, Ebay removed that feedback as it had record of the dispute.

The other problem I have is other than people not even bothering to leave feedback (I think i'm owed about 6). One seller in particular had really high postage so I left him a neutral feedback when I got the items, I had paid within half an hour of the auction ending so no probs, I find out after looking at his feedback that he does not bother to leave feedback for anybody leaving neg or neutral feedback, I contacted Ebay as it is an unfair practice and they say that they will look into it and let me know within a few days I'm still waiting 4 weeks later!!!!!!

I have done over a 100 ebay transactions as a seller and buyer. I have only ever had 2 incidents.

1 where I had bought an oil drum from a guy for a £5 to make into a BBQ. The seller buggered off on Holiday for 2 weeks without telling me and I coudl not get hold of him. When he got back I refused to pay as in the meantime I had bought one for £15 and had alreayd made the BBQ

1 where the seller emailed my after putting a bid in saying "sorry I can't pay for this as my son bid for it on my account" I reported a non paying bidder to ebay who then closed his account.

Like anything just be weary of who you do transactions with.

Pullers....certainly a few eBay.co.uk - puller, flywheel puller, bearing puller, hub puller items at low prices

Probably not the sort you are after though.

I have done approx 300 transactions on ebay and have only had 4 problems most of which have beed sorted via paypal but what does anoy me is the problem you have to file a complaint and if you havent used paypal to pay you will not get your money back as EBAY are not interested.

Considering ebay and Paypal are owned by the same people they get a large cut of your cash and only give a little help.

I guess you just have to be careful and look at feedback ect

Dave

Have made 16 purchases so far. I have done cash on collection for probably 10 of those. I leave honest feedback after receiving the product. So if someone screwed me, and it depends on how bad, they would either get neutral or negative.

But so far it sits at 16 purchases and 100% positive feedback.

If you handle things in a reasonable manner, then the outcome is generally reasonable as well. But i do acknowledge that asshats operate and exist on ebay. I nullify most of that by only bidding on things i can pick up in person.
