what gets me is when the seller refuses to give you feedback until after you do

as far as I'm concerned, once I've paid, I've kept my side of the deal and feedback should be left

I certainly leave feedback when selling once I receive payment

I've sold over 120 items on eBay and never had anyone refuse to pay.

I've refused to pay for one item where I contacted the seller immediately after the auction saying I needed the item quickly and they failed to get back to me within a week.

There are thousands of charlatans on eBay, just as there are in any environment where there's money to be made from gullible people. Likewise, there are tyrekickers who treat the place like a playground. Fortunately these people are far outnumbered by honest people who are selling decent gear.

I love eBay and it's the first place I look when I want to buy something.

Ditto, I regularly sell on Ebay and in all fairness the majority of buyers are good and pay promptly. Sadly, its when the gits who bid and win your stuff then refuse to pay, you then find out that Ebay is crap, as there's absolutely nothing you can do about it. If you leave them neg feedback, they can do the same to you, so it's not worth it in the end.

Also, I too get p*ssed off with sellers who state leave me feedback and I'll do the same for you, when you have paid as required.

It is a good way though of getting rid of stuff you don't want.

This used to concern me and, like you, when I sell something I leave feedback as soon as the money's in my account.

However, the buyer's responsibilities don't end there. They need to be where they say they'll be when the item's delivered/collected and some unscrupulous people will try to renegotiate the arrangement when they know they're in a position of strength and have you over a barrel WRT feedback.

I've still got a 100% positive feedback record and it only takes one idiot to ruin that. I have thought it might make the eBay thing a little less stressful at times for that record to be broken. A bit like relaxing once you've got the first scratch or dent in your new car - ask Finbar about that

Non payers can't leave negative feedback if a non-payment dispute is filed against them. Once this has been concluded your fees are rebated.

Agree with that.

Most Buyers and sellers have been OK, But there are a small portion who make life hard for everyone else
Had one pri*k who charged me £30 special delivery - OK it was heavy - but it took him over 10 days to actually package and post the item!

The biggest pullers are eBay and Paypal, they are useless when things go wrong

I don't use eBay very often (bought approx 6 items) so it is a novelty for me and I'm always on line asap after the auction has finished to see if I have won. If I have won then I pay immediately because I want my item asap.

What really bugs me is when the vendor doesn't seem to check or do anything for a week.

Anyway, I suspect that you, Windymiller, have been unlucky. Are you sure you aren't only advertising in Pikey Corner?

Yep I've bought them on ebay, Calvin Klein XT's great for wearing under your dry suit undersuit as they are wicking, no more damp pants.

I've made about 100 transactions on Ebay, never had a problem, touch wood.
