when i read the original post it wasn't bullies that sprung to my mind , there are all sorts of people that look out for vunerable people and often these people go far beyond bullying

very true ,however there are quite a few elderly people that get targeted by people that are on the lookout for vunerable people , one elderly lady near me got robbed and is aged 95 and another aged 89
I think this goes right off the scale of bullying

The post was encouraged in a ranting way (hence in speakers' corner) because of my observations today. Not by people targeting or seeking out but by picking up on signals, taking advantage of them and taking an aggressive stance with the confidence the individual did not feel up to fighting, and being right.

It's was about being an aggressor and taking advantage of a situation. Hence, a defensive action would be to control the signals sent out

I love to people watch ,you can learn so much by watching people and the actions they take , supermarkets and town centre s are great ... I can sit there for hours how sad
