MAPLIN poor customer service I bought a NAS disk from Maplin 2 weeks ago. A couple of hours after plugging it in, the fan failed and started making a racket. I returned the item to the store 2 days after purchasing it and expected a refund. Wrong! It has to go off to their workshops to be tested before a refund can be issued. Obviously their staff are not bright enough to plug it in and diagnose a fan that sounds like a chainsaw as being a fault. They have ignored all my emails and FAXes to head office. Today I went into the store and they said it would take another week before it could be tested and a refund issued (!)
In Summary: do not expect a prompt refund from Maplin if anything breaks, even after a couple of hours. |
