I didn't realise that 4x4s had a problem with their indicators, never been behind one long enough to find out

Anyway, why are they called 4x4? Is it because they take four times longer to get there whilst consuming four times as much fuel?

no because they are 4 times as likely to be 4 foot above the water when hull and all the low lying areas where you fools who couldn't be arsed to pay for a proper search when you bought your twee little houses flood, again.

and you can blame global warming all you like the earth goes through phases and we happen to be in one of them at the moment.


PS my car does 30 mpg if driven sensibly if I rag it it gets 20mpg .



Oh and to the original poster- next time you put your car in a ditch and need dragging out I am sure the farmer wil do it for the same cost as I charge £0

Lost me there, I don't live in Hull or even England, I live on top of a hill, in Scotland And I've never put my car in a ditch.

My view is that all the anti 4x4 twaddle on eco grounds is nonsense because China builds a coal-fired power station every week. Taking every single 4x4 in the world and crushing it will produce a decrease in annual CO2 output that China will make up in about 30 seconds. China and India between them would probably make up the shortfall in 15 seconds.

But I do object to 4x4s on A roads because they are so slow and a complete bugger to see round to pass

not specifically aimed at you but more at those who whine about 4x4s constantly without realising what they do. some tw@ts do own them mostly henrietta in kensington and tarquin in chelsea. I use mine for real as do 99% of people its that 1% that shag it for the rest of us

You're probably right, it's usually Torquil and Penelope who hold me up on the A82.

Tiptronic, is that something to do with steering? It's always the windy-twisty bits 4x4s hold me up on and anything that means they can keep their average speed up at least somewhere near the limit is to be welcomed
. Tiptronic steering for all 4x4s I say!
