Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. What a bunch of wankers. Just when I thought "you know, we've not heard a piece of shocking Go-Dive customer service in ages, maybe they have changed their ways" someone manages to convince me I was being daft and of course they're the same as they always were.

By the way, if you do get the chance to speak to the guy who runs the place you'll probably get more than being told you were being petty. Organisations don't have godawful customer service for no reason, someone has to lead the charge. Welcome to Go-Dive Or as Garf referred to them Go-fuck-yourself-and-dive.

They'll never learn. The internet is their business, and the internet will damage them and cost them money.

Call Brett at Divelife. I've been particularly unreasonable with him several times and he is never ever anything but the most helpful and friendly person you could hope to deal with. Oh, and his prices are better than GD on a lot of different stock. And he doesn't lie to people, or tell them they're being petty. A complaint is never petty, regardless of the reason.

Digs.

A couple from out club returned a fairly expensive piece of faulty dive kit to Go Dive and expected a refund of some sort. All they got was abuse and they were escorted off the premises by the police. Now this couple are the most polite gentle people I have met so I know they wouldnt do anything to necessitate the calling of the police but thats Go Dives version of customer service.

When will these people learn!! When I am looking to have a weekend away in somewhere, I go to google and type "Hotels in XXXXXX", then I type in the name of the hotel, and look for reviews. With so many negative reviews, people who hit them via google, and then do further research, will come across threads like this. It seems their business plan of exploiting the internet, will be their downfall.

Having read threads like ths on YD I would NEVER even consider using them.

This seems to be a common problem. Lyin about what they have in stock. One of our instructors wanted a pair of fins in some colour or other. Having phoned and specifically asked and been told they were in stock, went there to pick up and they just didn't have them. It's ridiculous. You can't just lie to people.

Can I suggest as a sensible option that if buying with Go Dive (whch you'd be a fool to by the sounds of things) then use your credit card with buyer protection. The credit card companies just don't tolerate companies that break trading standards rules and will make sure you don't get dicked around too much, because they will reclaim the money you are owed when GD tell you that you're being petty

God I hope they come on here and pretend to be a member of the diving public again. That's comedy.

Have to say I had great service from them lately, ordered a 7ltr ally and some regs on Tue and they arrived mid day Wednesday, not too shabby.

The first guy I spoke to on the phone sounded as though he had a bit of an attitude mind you, and while I was talking to him I was beginning to remember all the horror stories I had read here, however I only wish ALL deliveries were this quick!

maybe I got the last ally cylinder :>)

Regards

Every company has their off day... Perhaps they accidentally posted them out quickly to you? You should complain and ask why you didn't get the service that you expected! Hehehe
