Poxy radio stations!

I have many gripes about radio stations; the main one being that they don't play enough of the music I like. Having said that, the advent of 'internet radio' has allowed for a more specialist radio stations. They keep trying to get a local 'rock radio station' on the air but can only get a temporary license for about 3 weeks every century!

Anyway, today, on the radio (Gold), they only went and shortened the song Radar Love (by Golden Earing). I mean, FFS, come on .................. They played that hideous song (Whitney Houston?) with the caterwauling of I 'will always looooovvveeeee yooouuuuuuuuuuu' ad infinitum IN FULL! The complete and utter bastards!

Any decent track they either cut out and shorten the good bit or talk over the lead break or ................................. Layla, Free Bird, Won't Get Fooled Again etc etc

Well, they are all in 'my book' and when I come to power they'll be 'in for it'.

By the way, ITC (now OFFCOM) regs used to state that TV commercials' audio shouldn't be compressed. But they usually were, anyway.

Bryan , do a search for Arrow classic rock , you can listen on the net to them ,wall to wall rock.

I listened to them (on AM waveband) but lost their signal about a year ago. After a number of years listening I realised they had quite a narrow playlist?

I must get my work PC 'wired for sound'!
