In my first post I made no referal to people travelling to other contries to work, regardless of where they originate from. I never said that I condone or support Brits working in tax free countries, so where didi that come from?

As we keep banging on about supporting our LDS, so shouldn't the Poles who work here support the community in which they live? Not just saving their money & sending it home. I imagine a large portion of the imigrants who come to this country to better themselves would agree with this. I merely agree with the sentiments of John Howard ( or whoever wrote the opening piece ) that if you choose to live in a country not of your origin try to fit in.

Socalism supports the idea of the workers running the way in which the community operates, as opposed to capitalism, where the buisness owners run the show.

I went to school with a few who are now top flight doleites they even give lessons on how to make claims and charge for it I resent you saying i live in daily mail lala land where the fcuk do you get that from? Or was that comment aimed at someone else? My feelings about immigration are probably far removed from the daily mail wouldn't really know i don't read it. Is it not true the amount we spend on benefits each year? Going into europe is another thread in it's self It has some good points and bad without knowing the full script i'd hesitate to make a decision obviously you know all so please enlighten us little englanders.

Like it or not there is a Countrywide rising of intolerance from all sides, someone says that we should stop immigration and send them back to their country of origin etc, then people from the other side of the coin lambast them as racist and little Englanders, with little desire on either side it seems to change their view. This also happens on here every time this post [and similar ones] surface.

Muslim fundamentalists commit terrorist atrocities and people who had no ill feeling toward people of other race or creed suddenly lean to what others may class as racism, sad but true, and fanned by negative press coverage and the seemingly endless stream of young Muslim's facing charges of terrorism I can only see things getting much worse before it gets any better.

I genuinely have no problem with anyone because of their Country of birth or skin colour, what I do have a major problem with is Religion that impacts in a negative way on others, be that Islam or Christianity. Perhaps a way forward would be to not allow any religious dress or paraphernalia to be visibly worn in public, Archbishop of Canterbury take note?

I was making a general comment not one aimed specifically at you. I tried very hard not to personalise my post at you although I picked your comment as a very good example of what I wanted to say in general was wrong. There are millions of people living in Daily Mail la-la land and I have not met you nor read enough of your posts to say if you are one or not. I am honestly sorry if you, or anyone else, thought I implied you are one of them.

To look at this again, the fact remains the same. A mixing of culture and viewpoint is generally a good thing. The Islamic extremists that have been responsible for reprehensible acts of barbarity in this and other countries are totally opposed to that mixture of culture and viewpoint. I see no difference between them and the people who pick on every Muslim and want them to leave the UK. Steve's post just before this one is about spot on.

Sparky mate, in respect of your post, the fact is that big corporations give fuck all to the UK and take far more than a few dole scrounging foreigners. That was and is my point. Maybe there are some wasters drawing 30 quid a week and doing nowt. So what? Tescos has done the UK tax system out of enough money that we could make a real difference not just a mere couple of million quid that might pay Gordon Brown's bar bill.

You can't have it both ways. Either the Uk is part of a globalised system in which people, capital and ownership move freely round the globe or it really is Daily Mail la-la land in which the thwack of leather on willow and old maids cycling is the apogee of our culture and achievement.

Britain needs to join the 21st century. Either that or retreat back into the 19th and live in isolation.
