If someone's driving like a twat I take comfort in the solace that he'll probably end up killing himself. However, if they're driving like a total twat I'd probably end up calling the police as they tend to take out more than just themselves. Saw loads of it this weekend driving back up from Somerset - usually Astra-sized cars with 3 or 4 lads about 20-25, or else old men in Q7's or X5's with their trophy wives in the passenger seats. |

| Perhaps after you have pressed charges and there will be a 999 call recording to back you up you could post all the tosser wagons details so we can all look out for/avoid him. You never know if he drives like that a lot there might be more complaints about him and eventually he might lose his licence ( but pigs might also fly There are an awful lot of w***ers out on the A34 and M40 in Oxfordshire, I drive both regularly and almost every time see driving which provokes a verbal expletive from me about the numpty driver that just did that really stupid thing !!!!!! There are a lot of cameras on A34 at the M40 end (lots and lots of accidents)so you might be lucky that the original bit of bad driving was captured. GOOD LUCK with pressing charges he deserves it ![]() |

| Surprised no one has mentioned it already. Most mobile phones have a video capture function. Perhaps the passenger takes a few videos to show the plod. That way is there some evidence to show a third party even if it may not achieve a conviction at least it may cause the driver to be given a caution.

I would go with what the others have said, and report this. Get this down on file, even if only a ticking off, as if he reoffends again, his 'past' will be looked at! Good luck.

| Striking similarities to an incident about 6 years ago. Late finish at work in London, driving home on the M4 between J12 and 13. I was travelling at 70 something and in the fast lane overtaking a Range Rover. I remember it very very clearly as the Range Rover had a very unusual 3 digit cherished plate. As I was passing the Range Rover it speeded up so that we were alongside. I dont play games so I backed off and intended to pull back in when he was ahead. He slowed. I sped up. He sped up. Now I'm concerned that this bloke is playing silly buggers. Late, dark, empty road. So I slow right down, to 50. And he does the same. So I speed up, to 70 something. And he does the same. About 2 miles short of J13 I thought sod this, and as I reached (insert speed here) he swiped me and hit me in the rear quarter panel. My car started to spin, caught an edge and rolled over at least 6 times (I was told by the following van driver, and I remember thinking "skygroundskygroundskyground" for what seemed like minutes) ending up in the ditch. Luckily (aformentioned) van was about 2 miles back and saw me roll and stopped to help. He told me he was sure I'd be dead but didnt see what the other vehicle had done. I'm glad he stopped because I'm not sure if loony boy would have come back for me. What peeved me was I did nothing to enrage the other guy. I didnt signal at him, wasnt the agressor, i was just driving home. When the old bill and ambulance rolled up (very quick), I gave the license number and make and model and was told about 10 minutes later that the registration given was for a Rolls Royce, not a Range Rover, and so they wouldnt take it further. I asked them to go and check the address and they said no. Suspicious? Me? No? Anyway, no further action available to me other than paying up the insurance. I'm over it now, but I absolutely dont get into any aggression on the road now. Pull over. let the loony go. Si p.s. It was a Golf. I would recomend a Golf to anyone considering rolling down the M4 at high speed. Not a scratch on me.
