It is becoming a serious problem - the main issue at the moment up by us is pikeys nicking the lightning strips on the outside of buildings and substations.

One of my ex employers is deploying GSM CCTV cameras to catch the pikey bastards, but when they're no fixed abode, with cars without tax, registered to addresses that no longer exist (pulled down houses on estates) what do you do?

Yep, but it'll cost ya, and you'll need more than a 65kg bag

One in 60 metres, not too far away, still has some ingots on it. . . .

This one isn't mine, but to give you an idea on what to look for:

A copper ingot

they are getting quite brazen too.

they drove a hiab onto site loaded 2 drums of 11Kv cable 630mm sq and drove off site. when we went to pull the cables in later on in the week nobody could find them.

scrap price for copper should drop soon as we are going to be weighing in the slummy from the last 2.5 years thats been in 4 40ft containers

thats going to pay for the christmas drinkies for a few of us
