Angry Dirty Filthy Thieving Pikey B******ds
I have just had a really sh1tty weekend thanks to some thieving scumbags who decided to break in to the electricity sub station on my Industrial Estate and steal the earth cables.

United Utilities, quite rightly had to pull the power, but it took nearly 72 hours to get the power back on.

I had to go and buy a generator to power some important equipment in the unit, so that meant having to keep going into work to top it up with fuel. The guys who were in at the weekend on overtime had to finish early, and of course, no power today meant no work for them for another day. There must be 60-70 people on this Estate who couldn't do any work today ... the knock on effect with my customers has meant two lost orders (over £2k of work) plus, I'm now struggling to keep up with what I'm supplying them for the rest of the week...

All this for about £20 worth of scrap copper.

I hope they are feeling pleased with themselves, as they are sitting in some dirty cesspit of a flat somewhere with a fcuking needle full of death sticking out of their arm.

Fcuking country is going to the fcuking scummy sh1tbags.

Cnuts.

Do I feel better for this? Nope, 'cos they don't get caught... or if they do they get a slap on the knuckles, told not to do it again, then get let out to do the same old, all over again.

They're doing it everywhere, Problem is we've now got to the stage we can't go into substations at night on our own just in case we run into some of these guys.

There have been a couple of incidents where they have got what they deserve and happen to cut into a live 11000v cable!!

There was a grid site that had a load of copper earthing nicked the scrap value was about £30,000 the cost to replace it was £132,000!

Scrap metal theft is big at the moment because of the high prices. We've had substation earth rods nicked, lead ripped from schools and dwelling houses, derelict flats broken in to and copper piping ripped from the walls.... you name it. We nicked two smackheads last month who were caught ripping lead flashing from a house while the occupants slept. They told me that they're getting £1200 per ton from scrappies..

Copper is £4000 a Ton.

SOooooh, anyone know of a wreck carrying copper ingots, coz ill bring my 65KG lifting bag along!!!!!!!

Pete i can probably supply your whole estate with 2MVA of power
Carillion plc can normally have one on site within 5 hours up and running in a further 4-5 hours let me know if your stuck try getting united utilities to pay for it.

we are getting loads nicked from the gas compounds on our sites. The engineers now carry spare earthing bars as van stock! Worse still we have to close the whole forecourt (inc petrol & derv) whilst its replaced.

result= pi%$ed off general manager & pi*&ed off motorists.

Mate, thanks for that... but the juice finally got switched on late this afternoon. I'll bear it in mind though, cos apparently the to55ers come back when it's all been replaced and have second dippings... We have put up some temporary barriers, with some more permanent ones being made for it.

Still mad about it....
