| Daylight robbery diesel! Holy cow. I knew it was going to be bad when we arrived at the garage to fill up with fuel and they didnt have their prices on the board outside....i suspect it was because they had run out of numbers. Guess how much per litre for diesel? £1.34 And breathe

| At the moment in Northampton the cheapest is £119.9 per llitre. For every 1p they put the price up... it costs me another £1 to fill my van. Since Christmas its gone from £1.09 to £1.20... so I'm now paying £11 a week more to fill up, which I have to at least once a week. I can remember the fuel strikes... when petrol got close to £1 per litre... its about time again. Two of the biggest house builders in the midlands, Persimonds and Barratts have suspended all work on their building sites as they just can't sell the houses they are building, which means my work will dry up very soon with a knock on effect. We ARE in a resession........

| I am now thinking about the cost of getting to and from dive sites. It now cost me £5 more per trip to most dive sites. Not a lot individually, but over a year it will be in the hundreds of pounds.

Or maybe it's just the petrol station jumping on the band wagon and screwing everyone over? Prices are crazy now... Not good

| Its so insaine now that my petrol bill is usualy arround £1000 a month. With the congestion charge and parking costs my general moter expenses are usaualy arround £1500 a month or £70 a day. We charged a lady £650+vat to do a two day job yesterday and she got upset about it and was screeming about how we were ripping her off. Two men wages two days £400 so out of £250 we have to cover motor, advertising, insurance, materials and office overheads and some how make a profit There is a garage in Haywards Heath selling 50/50 bio fuel for 1.11p If the govt were serious about green issues all garages would sell bio petrol and bio deasel. But they are not serios and the green lobby are just idiots pushing for the wrong things. The price of fuel doesnt affect my usage. I use what I have to use. Push for Bio fuel at every petrol station and push for more economical large capacity vans and cars. I drive a Shogan Diesel at the moment if they did a LPG version id get it and if they did Bio fuel at the petrol station Id use it. But I need a large 7 seater and preferably 4WD so theres no point ofering me a Toyota Pryas. ATB Mark

| Helen, I thought you used the red stuff...oh, hush my mouth! Mark: Bio fuel may be a good idea but not if we have to pay £10 for a loaf instead. (Hasn't news of the world food shortage reached south of the river yet?)
