I'd agree scratch probably, screw probably not. Did the screw have any scuffs on it, as if it had been pushed in on the road, or were there marks on the screw head showing it had been screwed or hammered in? It must be pretty hard to do that without others noticing it.

I'd ask them outright if i thought they where lying nitromors would give their car a lovely new look I've had a car damaged once by some spiteful person it's the lowest of the low if you ask me, grow a pair and smack me on the chin by all means but doing damage to my car is pathetic. Incdently the guy was caught by a passer by who photographed his car driving off after seeing him scratch mine

I would just chalk it up to experience and forget about them. it'll have the opposite effect of what they want (attention) as they seem to be petty anyway (the original website).

I think my old quote on my sig was somthing along the lines of 'never hold on to a hot coal to throw at someone else as you are the only one who ends up burnt!'

just IMO anyway!

Agreed with this. Karma does get them in the end.

I don't understand this...What have I done bad ???? Please tell me... I think you may have read it wrong - the couple generally humiliated my friend - all I did was confront them about it and made sure I had witnesses around when I did it - quite sensible given that they are nasty pieces of work. I have changed the wording from 'them' (past tense for 'him') to 'him' so that you may find it easier to understand.

Agreed. trouble is, it is starting to cost me money. And becoming dangerous - IF it was them who planted the screw. On recollection, I did move my car later on to let an old guy in who wanted to leave his car at the venue as there was only room for two cars (I was organising it, hence why my car needed to be there - it was full of stuff). About 2 hours later somebody stood outside pointed me to my rear tyre which was flat
Just thought as well - it was the rear tyre - and I reversed out of the parking spot - which means the screw must have been behind the wheel then. Or else surely it would have gone into the front tyre first ?? It was a blunt ended screw and I was only moving slowly, so it can't have flicked up into the rear tyre.

Quite. It's only a matter of time before someone knocks up a website ridiculing them...

I'd be inclined to walk away from it, if these things continue, they have a habit of going in directions you neither expect or welcome. Your paintwork today and if it was them and you respond in kind - what's tomorrow your brake pipes?

There's also the possibility that your assumption is incorrect and they had nothing to do with the damage to your car; either way, you'll never prove it but IME, you don't escalate things like this, unless (a) you really have to, and (b) you actually don't care what happens next.

There's also the risk that you'll be caught too. If you think it's them, report them to the Police and leave it at that, it's all you can do. If they are so nasty and small minded as to do this, you are best of avoiding them as they aren't worth it, or you'll get dragged down to their level. Sounds cowardly, but my philosophy is to only fight when you have to.
