The mail on Sunday is giving away Paul McCartneys' new album tomorrow. I won't be queing up outside the newsagent to snap up a copy and not just because the mail on Sunday is a pile of hysterical, dishonest, fascist crap. No, it's because Sir Paul McCartney has, in my humble opinion, no talent whatsoever.

The beatles were of course very successful (God knows why as even Sir Paul has attested that they couldn't play in tune and yellow submarines have rarely provided the basis for great music) but it has to be said that that was a triumph of style over substance.

Of course marrying the heiress to the kodak photographic fortune didn't hurt Maccas prospects and releasing records featuring bagpipes and frogs as well as the worst ever James Bond film theme were somehow accepted as not too ridiculous by the public.

Clearly he's had his problems too and marriage to an unstable unidexterous tit model didn't help. But the bottom line is he can't sing, can't play, can't write a decent song and as a result his album in the video for which he dances like a knob and plays a mandolin (!)is being given away in a hopeless newspaper.

And he got a knighthood.

And breathe...

Thankyou for for your lucid and absolutley correct observations regarding one Mr.Mcartney.

All you say about him is absolutely correct. When I find his CD in the Mail On Sunday it will be placed directly in my BCD pocket.

But, my dear Mr. Frosty, Plase refrain from insulting my beloved Daily Mail. Without it I would be nothing. A hollow,empty, emotionless shell. It gives me a purpose and a direction in life. Oh yes, it IS my sole.

Can't agree with you there as I quite enjoyed his Wings stuff, like Band on the run and Venus and Mars, but I loved Ram, his 1st successful album post Beatles and have it on vinyl. I'd rather like it on CD and could probably find it now. I looked years ago and no luck

Although, commenting upon 'Hey Jude' (calling it complete crap) Got me seriously sulked at by my old bass player.

Jeez. Don't you just love YD. There I was, thinking I was odd because i actually never liked the beatles much, thought John Lennon (esp. shaved fish) was ok, but think Paul Mac is actually a bit crap.
