The Stoney Pledge

"I promise never ever to dive Stoney Cove unless I am training or shaking down kit. If I am caught diving Stoney cove 'for a dive' I agree to strip to my underwear and jump in then get out and stick £20 in the nearest RNLI tin".

To pledge your everlasting and undying allegance to this, please say "aye" below and put at least £1 in the nearest RNLI tin. If you don't, I'll know.

I don't think there should be an unless clause.

I've not been since 1999 and have never been except on a course.

I've never been Stoney in 27 years of diving. I shall however say "Aye" and give the lifeboats a few shekels.

You'll be posting a thread in a few weeks saying how great Stoney is and that you're looking for buddies

Safe diving,
Steve

I haven't been to Stoney, so cant really comment, but does that mean if the sea was a no-go, you'd rather not dive than go there?

On me way to the closest RNLI tin....

I promise never ever to dive Stoney Cove unless I am training, shaking down kit OR taking part in the Splash In competition.

So, are you saying that everytime I go diving in Stoney from now on, then I have to kit up and do a strange shaking dance on the waters edge before jumping in ?
