So apparently they now have to give the log in details of anyone who has viewed any video on YT, to Viacom.

It would appear that Viacom are attempting to protect their interests - ie the fact that unauthorised uploads of their copyright material have been placed onto Youtube.

Viacom have no interest in seeing who is watching anyones private material.
