Very Very small (seen in Leeds - a BMW with a 3 inch by 1 inch number plate on the front and the back) Can't actually work out the original plate, or use the screws as dots. I've nothing against legal personal number plates. It's when a normal number plate is screwed with to make something else. The problem comes when they have an accident and the number people quote is wrong because it doesn't exist. Very selfish! Mark.

Ah.... this would be due to section 7, paragraph iv, of the new compulsory EU directive (NOB-1) which requires Beamer/Merc/etc drivers "...to illustrate clearly the depth of the inadequacy for which you are attempting to compensate with this vehicle" |

I had to try and drown my ire with an eclectic combination of Pimm's, wine and whisky. And now my head hurts. A lot. Since apostrophe useage seems to be a bit of a recurring theme on YD, would anyone like me to bung up a brief thread on the ways to use 'em, or would that just be really dull and the sign of a tedious bore? | hmmm I think it's 'A' rather than 'AN', because you are talking about a perspective of the historical type. Having said that, it probably should be 'THE' historical perspective as using 'A' or 'AN' implies that multiple different histories exist.
