New subby on YD

After a few intensive days at Stoney I can say that I am now a certified submatix rb (scr) diver.

The course was more challanging than I had expected but rewarding. It's been an interesting start to the season, for someone who has not visited many inland dive sites I haven't done bad. Starting in Feb; Blue lagoon, Guildenburgh, Capernwray and now Stoney. I feel like I have been on a tour of the UK's dive quarries, at least I now know where they all are!

All I need now is to get the hours on the unit so that I can get into the sea now that I can find my way to all these inland sites, anyone willing to buddy with a novice rb diver PLEASE.

And thanks to all the advice and information it did help and also thanks to Lesley and Malc for the onsite encouragement!!

Rgds

Patrick

Hi Pat, I know you live the other end of the world (northern territories) and I live in 'sunny' Torbay(southern sh*t) , but there is a guy in Falmouth, Cornwall, I think his name is Martin, well he was hoping to organise some diving around that area in the summer sometime for submatic divers. The bottom life is plentiful, colourful and lots to see, the viz was exelent the last time I was there and there are enough wrecks to keep everyone happy. Torbay isnt that predictable unless there's been an easterly blowing, and then you can just forget diving here for a week or so. But when the viz is good its brilliant diving in the bay with over 90 dive sites to choose from. If you come down this way or any where close, just give me a call and I'll buddy you if you want. Gaz

Hi

I'll go for a dive.

Blue lagoon is open until 9, last dive at 8 I thing so if you want to go one evening we can. It will get your hours up ready for the sea. For weekend I'll need a little notice to make sure I am free and not teaching.
