Re Babbacombe Hi, Been diving TQY alot lately, mainly on my sub but never seen another subby around here. Thurlstone golf course (near Salcombe) is a nice dive with normaly great viz, short walk from the CP to the sandy beach and only £3 for all day parking. Few hard bottom boats also running out of TQY harbour round by the living coast. Beware of the 'nice clamper man' at Babbacombe, make sure you get a ticket and have plenty of time left for your dive AND coffee after your dive, otherwise it will be a very expensive dive and most likley the last time you'll visit our most popular shore dive site which would be a shame as its a great training area with lots of bottom life. If you know your going to be in Torbay and fancy meeting up for a dive just email me a few days before hand, Gaz

Hi Gaz Long time no speak I'm gonna have to come down your way and get in some diving with you My Subby has mostly been doing DL and Nx training for people - next salty outing is in a week or so The fresh water stuff I guess comes from living so far from the sea

Could this end up as a subby day out

Anyone who wants to come down to SUNNY, WARM Devon and join me for a dive in or around Torbay is more than welcome. Just give me a week or so notice so I can keep an eye on the viz to make sure no one has a wasted journey. A big Hi to you too Nick, any time you want to come down you only have to let me know mate, as long as its not the 4-5 July. Fingers crossed I'll be starting my MEG course that weekend at Chepstow. With all the sun we've been having there is the usual plankton bloom with some areas affected more than others and then theres the dreaded easterly winds which blow it out for everyone. There is a beach cam at Babbacombe which is on Teign Divers web site, this gives a view accross the beach and pier, not normaly good enough to see the viz though. Divers Down (dive shop) is at the top of the hill and they will be able to give you up to date info on request.
