FFS - loads of dives cancelled due to manky weather. This weekend is looking good for diving only to find out today that the boat's starter motor has packed up and a replacement can't be found until Monday.

N o o o o o o oooooooooooo.

Well, I'm NOT desperate enough to go diving in some stupid bloody puddle!!!!

If anybody wants me I'll be busy sulking.

It was a new wreck for us too - we have never dived it before. I'll bet someone'll nick all the booty before I get a chance to dive it again.

Oh well, I suppose I'll have to stay home and do some much needed DIY. I can at least shore up the wall that's about to fall down! 'Er indoors has been moaning about it for ages. I keep telling her the place won't fall down until there are only two walls left.

However, I hope you don't think me too cheeky if I suggest you're giving up too easily One broken boat does not make it impossible for you to get in the sea! Read this, get on the phone, and get yer arse down to Swanage, Portland or similar.

You are quite correct about my lack of fortitude in the face of diving (lack of) adversity.

Since making this post I have been to the LDS on Hastings seafront and :-

1. The sun is beaming down.
2. Hardly any breeze and the sea looks fanbloodytastic.
3. My first stage and danglies have been serviced and I need 2 new hoses.
4. I have taken the opportunity (no dive tomorrow) to take the hoses home and see what I have in my spares box before purchasing new ones.
5. I phoned up the boat Skipper and he said tomorrow AM forecast is "we should be able to a dive but lumpy". Afternoon is probably a "no no". Of course he may just have been saying that to make me feel better.
6. The rotten git is not available next weekend!
7. Camels/1000/fleas/armpits/him .
8. I am now planning on Fri evening/very happy/Sat morning/sick.

Deep sigh.

I'm peed off cos the only diving for me this weekend is doing tune-up course in the pool for someone - not quite the real thing
