You may have noticed that the BSAC web sites have been down all day today.
Initially this was caused by a major power failure at Redbus earlier (see
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2004/11...bus_power_cut/) which took out
most of Easily's transits and several other ISP's.

We have now been informed that the BSAC web server seems to have been
"fried" by this incident and it is now refusing to restart. The BSAC
webmaster and the BSAC IT Team have the situation in-hand and will try to
get a replacement service running as soon as possible.

I would like to apologise to our members for this service outage, it was
totally outside of our control and we are doing everything possible to
restore a service.

Kind Regards

would this explain why the `breaking news in BSAC` had not been updated for over a month?( and then by a two week old story).
Damn, bitchy head on today!

The site was inadvertantly exposed to a PPO2 of more than 1.4 and just locked up...

Still down....

Sounds like they're being spun a bit of a yarn here.... the web server must be running on a RaQ or you don't get the page we are seeing now and can't admin the device.
