| Hi there I have used dive master as a top up for 30m + dives about £19 for 2 weeks don't know how much an annual one would cost. Safe diving, Steve.

| I also used Buddy in Depth last year, an annual policy cost me about £85 I only went for this option as I was doing two Redsea trips, they cover you to what ever your qualification depth is. I assume it is just for holidays ? I also received insurance policy details which Tony Backhurst sells and to be honest it was pretty much the same as the Buddyindepth one. I generally look for the medical expenses and liability cover and not much else. |

| Recently took out a family diving and holiday insurance package with Buddy in Depth. (Buddy Travel Annual Multi-Trip Travel Insurance) Diving covers to 50m home and abroad but I think you can arrange a package tailored to your needs. Cost was about £170 for everything. - Medical Expenses up to £5 million - Personal Accident up to £25,000 - Baggage, Personal Effects, Diving & Winter Sports Equipment up to £3,000 - Personal Liability up to £2 million - Cancellation & Curtailment up to £5,000 - Hospital Benefit up to £1,000 - Money covered up to £500 - Loss of Passport up to £250 - Legal Expenses up to £25,000 - Travel Delay up to £5,000 - Missed Departure up to £800 - Dive Pack up to £200 - Hire of Dive Equipment up to £300 This policy will cover you for any trip up to 31 days per trip, and will also cover you for diving in the UK - 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. | Whatever you go for check the cover in the UK, i think some companies will only cover UK trips of 3days or more in prebooked accomodation, basically check the details before handing over the readies. I'm with Divemaster and have travel, diving and kit insurance, the travel and diving bit was about £120 and the kit bit was £130 (for £5k of cover, surprising how it mounts up!!)

Will cover you to 100m+ & Trimix (regardless of qualifications) Would need seperate travel insurance to cover lost bags at airport etc. [EDIT] Have Individual Plan/Basic Membership JT Last edited by jptaylor9 : 05-01-05 at 09:01 AM. |

| This really depends on what you want from the insurance, is it for UK or just for travel? do you have a family that you want to have benifit for? I spent a lot of time looking at this last year (feels odd to say that since it was only a month ago) and I ended up with DAN insurance, but that was because I wanted to dive beyond 70M, and I want some money to go to my family, and I want to be covered for ALL my UK diving. No other insurance company offers this. And I mean none of them, which was really annoying because DAN put the price up considerably, and I had to specifically register the fact that I did so called "tech" diving. Andrew
