Drysuit at LIDS?

Is it worthwhile going to LIDS to get a new drysuit?

I'm looking at either Otter Britannic, PB Explorer or perhaps Oceanic Aerdura.

Are they going to be cheaper?

Gavin

Usually are cheaper at LIDS , only company I know that dont do show offers are Othree as they dont need to discount,so you should be OK for a good deal on adrysuit at LIDS.

I got my Otter at the Birmingham Show and saved myself over £120 on the book price, MTM and a few bits extra :-)
But you have to take into account the travel.entrance fees, And what ELSE you will end up buying at the Show !!!!!!!

You will be like a Child in a sweetie shop :-) !!!!!

have Fun

Thats a tough question to answer to be honest. Yes, you can save money buying the suit at LIDS but if there is a problem with it then it will cost you more in postage and general agro to get the suit fixed. Drysuits are expensive bits of kit but I prefer to get mine at my LDS as they are local and I can take the suit in if it leaks or doesn't fit properly on the first outing I'm in it.

So the question is "do you feel lucky, punk?"

I would have to put my contrary hat on and say 'no'...

What with the internet being what it is the days of the true 'dive show deal' are perhaps not what they used to be.

Shopping around the bigger internet based stores you would probably get a pretty good deal.

But that's not to say dont go to LIDS - it's worth going anyway and who knows, the drysuit of your dreams might just be there.
