Cool Diving the Istraian Peninsula

Hi all

After reading a recent article in one of the dive periodicals about diving in Croatia, I've booked a week in August at Rovinj. Plan to dive Baron Gautsch, HMS Aldenham and a few other wreks.

Would be interested to hear comments from anyone that has dived that area.

Thanks

Kevin

I hope you have digs sorted, because when we were there last August it was ram jam packed. It seems that all of Austria , a great deal of Germany and a large part of the Netherlands had decamped there for the summer.

We ended up going over to the east coast, which was quieter. The viz, where I dived was excellent, but there was not much in the way of sea life. You will have to purchase a yearly permit, which cost about £12 to £15 IIRC.

I did do some web searching, before I went, and there is info on here, and divernet.

Enjoy your hols.
Jim
