Your RYA level 2 is very basic and covers things like launching and recovery as well as handling a Rib and can be completed in a weekend.  The short range communication cert takes a day  Day skipper takes quite a bit longer as there is a theory course and then a weeks practical. Like Peter says, the day skipper sailing cert includes training using the engine, but your in a sailing boat, though there is also a day skipper power boat cert.

I did mine with Iles World of Diving downin Shoreham. &nbsp;I had a great time down there and learned a lot. &nbsp;There's nothing like being out in the sea on a big rib. &nbsp;He helped sort out getting the international cert too. &nbsp;Their web site is:-www.scubatraining.com
