| SAC spreadsheet - woohoo, it works.....I think! I recently put up a post about a spreadsheet (SS) I had created to enable me to calculate my SAC breathing rates on a dive and to plan gas usage on future dives. Some people were kind enough to to volunteer to try out the SS and let me know of any errors.
As a result of their help (thank you - you know who you are and I wouldn't want to embarrass you by naming you) + a more leisurely look again by myself, I am fairly confident that I have corrected all the mistakes and the updated version seems OK. I post this as a warning to anyone who has the first edition of the SS - don't rely on it as it has some calculation errors.
If anyone wants to try out my masterpiece of mediocre SS creating then let me know your email and I will send a copy. It is designed for square profile dives which is what I always do - down to a wreck and then stops on the way up. It will currently work for any OC dive with one or two different gasses and up to 8 different depths.
I would be particularly interested to if anyone with the computer link from their first stage to the dive computer could try it and see how far out the SAC calculation is.
