| You'd probably need to go throug that same process when you come back. Me, I'd sell them, buy some out there and sell 'em when I came back.

| What's the testing regime in Oz for imported cylinders, same as for locally purchased. When I went (as a non diver Also how are you getting your cylinders out there, ship or plane, ship will as I am sure you know take ages. Plane - might be a bit expensive. Personally I think I'd buy out there, checkout "Cash Converters" when you get there they have loads of second hand stuff, maybe online too? Matt |

| Was watching some cylinders on ebay that the vendor was selling 'cos you need to have burst discs in Oz, at least that was what they said. Worth checking out I'd have thought. This web site seems to bear this out, near the bottom of the page; http://www.prodivecentralcoast.com.a...nfo/hydro.html Phil

| I would advise to sell your cylinders before you go a part from cost of transporting them over their maybe or maybe not costing you. the problem you will certainly find is that all countries have their own stamping on the cylinder neck this means that they are only accepted for use in that country.Althrough Australia is English speaking they have different standards for cylinders and you can not get them revalidated for use easley or at all plus the cost involved. I had a customer bring his cylinders back from Aussie brought the cylinders to me for filling and testing. The out come was they were scraped simple because they did not have the British standard stamp on the neck which is BS 5045.Note it is also illegal to transport them on the queen’s highway with out it. I even contacted a cylinder manufacture and they would not revalidate them So befor you travel with your beloved cylinders it will cost you more. When you are out their hire or may be purhase some save alot of hassle Philip |
