Just spotted a thread on Divernet, on how to work out dive time in Suunto DM, and interesting statistic. I have done 55 hours and 48 mins of diving since January this year. Done 74 dives which means I have an average dive time of 44.98 minutes.

Doesn't mean anything just thought I'd mention it.

<font color='#0000FF'>Don't know how many hours I've done this year, in total I have 113 dives at 80 hours = av 42.5min /dive. My type of diving is local so normally it's sunday morning single dive, back home for lunch &amp; Grand Prix. But I go out every or everyother weekend. If I could I would do a six dive weekend but at best I can do two dives on a saturday - one in the morning and one on the afternoon.
How did you calculate the stats for this year only?

Not sure how you got the number of dives this year but I know that even without the dive manager from the history in the computer it say 138 hours 211 dives.
This gives an average of about 40 mins but thats not very comparable since its swayed quit a bit by the short dives done whilst divemastering on ow coarses.

HI,

I used a pen and a bit of paper, oh and a calculator. It helps that I only got the Vytec in November last year, and I didn't have the download stuff fot the Vyper I had before it.

The time also includes some short dives, I tend not to wear the computer for training dives.

<font color='#0000FF'>Havn't yet tried this but can't you export the file onto excel? If so then you can play with the stats.

Whilst at it I've found the only sure way to save all data is to find the file on the 'My computer' then copy it. I've tried exporting and importing but some reason never worked.

Ah yes, I have just tried that and it works, it exports the dive time in seconds though so you have to work the numbers a little.
It works out as an average of 60 mins over the last 50 dives which sound a lot more sensible to me!
You can also export the full profile data (which is a lot of data!) unfortunately excel crashed when I tried to do anything constructive with it (surprise surprise eh?).
