| I think I can say, without fear of contradiction, that diving in the future will still involve us getting wet! Hard to believe, I know.....

| Imported post Not necessarily. Imagine the scene: The Year is 2020. The place is the Dive Show. The VR9 is unveiled: Not a dive computer, but a Virtual Reality system! Plug in the headset, put on the gloves and boots, and Voila! Telepresence takes over and you start to see through the video camera of your ROV as it goes down to the wreck whilst you remain comfortably on the boat. To your surprise, you see bubbles rising - somebody is down there with SCUBA gear! What a primitive! To your right, a black ROV is visible - with the original Scubapro JetPropellors that make it so easy to turn and go backwards without kicking up the silt, and the long battery cable that can be donated to a buddy ROV if it suffers a power failure..
