| Imported post Bit of a pointless question really as it depends where and when you want to go, how fast you want / need to get there and back, how much you are prepared to pay and whether you think the efforts worth it. Spotted Scott's boat a couple of weekends ago way off station in Liverpool Bay on the Brussels and the lift arrangement looked the bees knees - set me thinking how we could fabricate one for our club RIB. Like the flexibility that a RIB can provide, but appreciate that a Hardboat has more space and is generally more comfortable, unless it's a slow one of course.

| Imported post Booked five weekends diving for the club this year - all hard boats with lifts - no complaints from anyone. From a safety point of view the lift is also a good idea. One skipper we use in Lyme Regis reckoned that in a heavy sea a diver would not have the energy left to climb the ladder after he/she had been thrown off it more than twice - he now has a side lift. | Imported post have never had the joys of even a hard boat due to my limited budget but may have to join you lot on a weekend away some time soon. even so got to be with a lift! also have same prob as lou, short arms means that I can't get my centre of gravity over half way on the tubes, this is fine of course when getting back in after a dive as you just fin like f*ck but the amount of piss taking when I can't get into the boat in the shallows just isn't fair
