| it wont. It's full of uncompressable liquid. and a regular can is 330ml |

| I'm with Garf - it might dent at depth but it cetainly won't implode at depth.

| i agree with the other two ive tried it with bags of fluids cartons and pouches, and it has no effect what so ever on those so i would say a can would be the same

| Sorry I ment 330ml. But there is also gas in the can and a small volume of air, notice how you never get a fulll one so wouldnt that get compressed. I dont mean implode as such but when the opening pops.

| A better question would be one Digger tried: From what depth do you have to release an empty Panda Pop bottle (with the lid screwed on) to make it explode with a big bang at the surface? Too deep and it goes bang before the surface, too shallow and it just pops up and floats.

| I used to carry a cheap(£20) plastic sekonda watch as a back up back up timer. It was rated to 5 atms, which is apparently watch speak for can wear it in the shower, I always harboured the ambition to fold one. Had one to 52m and it worked fine afterwards, dont feel like wasting the money now!

| The Panda Pop bottle was an effective way of making sure the skipper was still awake when we surfaced. There is a depth, and it's remarkably accurate, we very rarely had one which fired too early or didn't fire at all. I think we called it Battleships or something, it was always my aim to hit the boat with it, and see what the bang would do. Very good at scaring the crap out of surface cover if the skipper's gone diving... |
