not really not when you find out the insurers wont pay out because it was underneath the passengers seat. even though it was out of view. i put my case under there as i thought it was the safest place. i have £5,000 of tools in the back and shopfitting plastered all over the van. i thought that if i was going to be targeted it would have been the back of my van for my tools.

well thats my opinion as well. i work away from home all week and for the past 8 weeks have been working nights monday to thursday. all of my personal belongings were in the van as it was my last shift there and i travel back to southampton at the end of the shift on the friday morning. it was the last night of the contract as well.....gutted to say the least. i was in the process of transfering my UW photos from my external hard drive to my new laptop.

thats a bit harsh your insurance not paying out, guess depends on your policy. also strange the police didnt do much, when my camera got knicked they were extremely professional about it. I heard from friends, they actually came round to interview other residents. insurance people were great as well, I had to call their supplier company myself to sort it all out. my insurance company was quite rubbish at communications but when I started to sort it out myself, they just authorised all payments. and yup, i'm still cheesed off about losing some of my photos because I remember saying I have to d/l to my PC but was too lazy. irreplaceable memories. hope you manage to recover the items. oh yeah its also doubly worse when you are pretty suspicious of a few people... in my case was pretty sure it was the cleaners that came in that day (the police agreed but no evidence). I even left a note with cash reward for the return of my photos but no luck. Last edited by applepie : 22-01-06 at 01:32 PM.
