| Beware beware beware Not the usual scam, this time its a case of buyer beware on the real system. I purchased a small item advertised as new that came to £25. It didnt arrive I complained to the seller by email many times and again and again The seller was a uk business so I got the number and phoned many many times Eventually the sent me something in a jiffy bag that was very used and incomplete. They refused to make matters right and just kept fobbing me off Meanwhile their Ebay account has been suspended But they were still there under different names! So I complained to Paypal Basically you cant speak to anyone except by email and after weeks of trying....... Paypal agreed with me and told me that I would get refund once I had posted the item recorded delivery back to Paypal in the USA Now that would cost more than I would get back in the refund. After being very patient I have now realised that its a big con. Despite everything that paypal says their real interest is in protecting the buyer! From now on - I'll sell with paypal but will never pay with anything but a credit card. ![]()

| eBay are no better - my wife ordered a DVD for me for fathers day from the kids and the scumbag selling it just didn't bother to post it and refused to do anything about it. When it came to claim for unreceived item, they have a system that means it costs you more to claim than actually just lose the money - my wife was very upset and gave the guy negative, but he just carried on selling and is no worse off for it. |

| Few years back I bought an item on ebay and the thing never turned up. Reported to ebay, not a lot happened. Thru my own investigation, I discovered the seller was stealing items from his place of work and selling them on ebay. I contacted the sellers employers and they agreed to send me the item. However they were already in communications with Ebay, and Ebay instructed them not to send me the item!!!! Ebay are a bunch of useless feckers who puts profits before customers. Mike

| aye i am having a mare at the moment. Bought a nokia 8310 for 17 quid and 4 quid p+p. Thought i got me a bargin. No postal insurance was offered and it was 1st class. It stated that phone was working when for sale with an orange sim (phone unlocked). So item arrives, heavily wrapped in bubble wrap and those funny packing polystyrene things that gte everywhere when you open the box. No damage to box or any signs of being chucked around. Plugs phone in - fails to turn on. Tries another battery, phone still dead. Keith not happy at this point. I have asked the bloke about the phone not working an he swears that it was working when he posted it and it was damaged in the post - my arse! So refund wise he gets shirty and says that he will be out of pocket as he had postage and now no phone that works. He is only intending a 10quid refund. Cheeky bugger - i think he knew the phone was not working when he posted it. Where do i stand on this one? Can i get all my cash back through paypal or are they just a bunch of twats, or do i get a tenner refund off this prick and cut my losses and wap a negative feedback on him? Any help would be good (and if someone lives in the ipswich area can you pop round with a baseball bat please?) Keith

I ordered a remote for my mp3 player before christmas and it never turned up, so I made a claim with paypal and the guy didn't respond to their emails so I automatically got my money back within about 10 days |
