I've noticed when going into various dive shops that they have various items of second hand kit for sale. Does anyone know if they would consider swapping or p/x with Joe Public for items of kit that are in excellent condition and well maintained etc.. Thought I'd ask if anyone had experience of this before ringing them up and being laughed at!!

I'd reckon so, providing the stuff they were getting was eithe rof a higher value or more saleable.

I know that my LDS will sell their own ex-school kit but refuses to trade in 2nd hand stuff from the public.

Something to do with liability regarding service histories I think - no-one likes being sued!

There'll always be someone who'll give you more cash on Ebay anyway

How about getting shot of the stuff on YD? I'm sure most of us have some spare stuff which we'd be willing to swap of other stuff.

Possibility of setting up a Swap Shop section? Put to vote...

May have to get some guidelines in place to safe guard both parties.
