Compair Compressor

Hi All....tech advice time!

We have a Compair VHP15 compressor. This thing is a huge, 4 stage compressor that produces 15 cubic meters of air per hour at 300bar....only it doesn't now

The 1st and second stage pressures look ok (the 3rd stage pressure gauge does not work) but the 4th stage takes ages to get to 220 bar when the valve opens and it outputs air to the filling station. Then it takes over 1 hour to fill one 12l cylinder.

My thought is that the plate valves in, either, the 3rd or 4th stage cylinders are leaking. This would allow air to flow back and forwards between the stages thus only compressing a little.

What thinks the YD massive before I start pulling heavy metal parts to pieces in 40degC of heat?
Am I on the right track or sitting at the wrong platform entirely?

ps. It's not plugged filters as we have had them apart (3 of them) and I can blow through them without problem.

What, no replies....not even a 'give it a go.'

What are they teaching divers these days?.....in my day you had to strip a compressor and rebuild it before you were allowed to fill a cylinder from it. That was in the days when we made our own wetsuits and carved fins out of wood......
