Yet another sad day last night.

Thoughts to all.

[quote=BBC News]

A man has died after a dive on a wreck off the Devon coast.
The diver, believed to be a 57-year-old from Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire, died after being airlifted to hospital in Plymouth.

Coastguards said the diver made a rapid ascent and emerged unconscious. The man, who has not yet been named, was diving near Plymouth on Tuesday night.

Brixham Coastguard received a call for help from dive boat Aquanaut, which had a party of 14 on board.

A RNAS Culdrose helicopter helped rescue the man who was airlifted from the area about one mile from the Plymouth breakwater.

He is believed to have made a quick ascent from 59ft (18m).

He was taken to Derriford Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Devon and Cornwall Police said they had begun an investigation on behalf of the coroner.
