| Travel to Thailand I hope I am in the right section to post this, I am going to Thailand end of September & flying with Thai Air & need to find out if I can take extra weight. I have been trying to find out from the people I booked with but they are useless & never get back to me so does anyone know what their policy is regarding weight for divers. When I went to Mexico year before last & Malta last year we were allowed 30kg at no extra cost, hope you can help. |

| It was 20 Kg checked in and 7 Kg hand luggage in economy. Not sure under the new restrictions. |

| My mate who lives out there advises not bothering to take clothes and such like from the UK, as its all so cheap out there you might as well buy it all there and give yourself space to bring stuff back.

| Just got back from Phuket.... We had 4 travellers and three bags were 29kg and one was 18kg....so we were well over but not a word was mentioned. Didn't even have to play the 'but we are divers' card. However your experience from the UK might be completely different. As to clothes....agree that you don't need to take any. Designer T shirts are £3, Jeep shorts are £4....three suits, two shirts, a belt and a tie $100 to you my son, all Armarni of course! The other option is to wear your only T shirt and shorts to the pool after the dive and give them a quick wash!
