Posting Flammable Items

Dear all,

If I wanted to post a flammable item, ie, a tin of Aquabond to Egypt,

1. Is it possible?
2. What method(s) are available?

Many thanks,

Ian

Well the simple answer is to check with the Post Office or courier service.

I would imagine Surface Parcel Post at your PO would be the cheapest.

Try Googling - I did when I sent something to Finland and the sites were all easy to use and gave an immediate price (provided you know weight and dimensions).

Fraid I can't help on the flammable element, but I've been advised on several occasions not to bother posting anything to Egypt cos it'll get nicked!

If it's to go to a dive area, better off trying to get someone to deliver it for you.

Royal Mail do a "signed for" service that is very reasonable - check at your PO or via their web site.

You could always ask on YD if anyone is going to Egypt soon who could take ........................

The place where I'm staying from next week is has asked if I can take some out with me, but the list of banned items on the airlines website includes flammable solvents. Looks like a form of surface mail then. Done a search on Google and everywhere seems to ban flammable items (understandable).

Thanks,

Ian

I am perplexed.
Most of the things I post are flamable.
Paper burns very nicely.
