Exclamation Cylinder tests

Just got my Cylinders back from Test all Ali tins and they all passed.

however one of the cylinder that passed failed on the valve? i have seen the problem and the company want to use it as a reason for you to get the cylinders tested, there are loads of hairline cracks on the head of the valve which until dyed with a red chemical you don't see.

Now i never new this could happen so a bit of an eye opener for me has anyone else had this problem?

I have a some DOT stamped Ali cylinders coming back from Asia that are not CE marked, I am not that bothered myself - but if I needed to get a fill from a commercial outlet in the UK then presumably the cylinders would need to be restamped?

If so would this be covered in a normal test? at what cost?

DOT cylinders are American spec,So your test centre will not test them.

Interesting a bit more digging and I find that I can get them tested and get a BS test certificate, but transporting them seems to potentially be an issue (from a legal perspective).

Guess I wont bring a pile of new ones back
