IN 94 one could do OWSI with 40 dives if i remmember correctly, one guy on my IDC had forged a couple of dives, he didnt pass.

So I'm pleased to report that all is going well and so far I'm completely wrong about this guy. I still think that it's a style of training schedule that wouldn't be sensible for everyone but for a few people it works.

If nothing else I was surprised what a hornets nest this thread stirred up but I'm glad we got some good discussion out of it and some great posting from some newer members.

Pity you started this thread calling the guy an idiot.

It really is a sad reflection on instructors that they are always made out to be money grabbing, uninterested ejits who dont deserve to be paid a propper wage as its not a real job anyway.

In fact it sounds like his instructors were very proper in the way that they delt with him, and he sounds as though his feet are on the ground.

A lesson to be learned here folks, perhaps a little less holier than thou might go a long way.

On that note i think i will get off for a wee night dive in the red sea.

Why not? I look like an idiot elsewhere? I prefer a consistent approach
