Well personally I love F1, so much so that I am going to Silverstone this year for all 3 days. F1 is one of the most watched sporting events throughout the world so obviously it has an impact.

It is the pinnacle of motorsport, with the best drivers in the world, the best cars in the world. The technology behind the whole thing is amazing which quite a lot has had an impact on road cars, and in the future we will see F1 cars running on Biofuel and recovering energy from braking etc etc.

Personally I love it, from start to finish, from concept to production.

A lot of people like Superbikes but personally I prefer 4 wheels.

Dan

Pick any sport and try and explain the point to someone whos not interested. Try me with football?? whats the point in that.

I showed my sister a vidio of me diving the Zenobia and finding the engin room. She just didnt get it.

Cave diving? I dont get it?

Why complain about something you dont have an interest in. Just dont watch it.

Personaly i was on the edge of my seat up to the second pit stop then as it became obvious that Hamelton had team orders I lost interest it was just a case of will he crash or not.

Monaco is all about crashes because unless your name is Michiel Shumacker (did you see last year? Christ what an amazing performance from the man who should have been world champion again) theres not a lot of overtaking hapening there.

Talking Tyre changes

Can't understand why they all get excited about changing the tyres in 4.5 seconds myself.

I stopped at the lights at the end of my street and the local chavs had my alloys, cd changer and sat nav in less time than that.

I quite like parts of F1 the speed etc but i think it has too much technology involved now to be of any entertainment value (overtaking etc) to me, give them all manual gear box's and steel brakes again and watch the fun start that would put it all down to driver skill again. A few friends watch it all the time and even fly out to various places to watch it thats what floats their boat. I love british superbikes etc especially the virgin yam series bringing through the young talent each to his own i suppose when F1 makes some changes they'll win back more fans again IMHO.

I bet all you people saying you can't see the point in F1 are the first to race of the line at traffic lights when a car lines up next to you looking for a race?????

Or my 1275cc Mini (old style) in metallic purple that went like sh*t off a stick. Nope, better. This was diarrhea. My fave car of all time, which I had at the tender age of 21; my reckless days when I used to race bikes off the lights. Could see a small bike off, but never managed to beat my uncle's biker mates!
