Also you have to question after such a close qualifying, why was hamilton so slow at the start of the race. It was like he was letting alonso go....

What was the point of racing Alonso? chances of wiping out both cars was very high and yet finishing second he is still top of the world championship. I don't think Monaco is a circuit for taking chances on unless you have too.

Alonso was pushing to make the point he was going to drive like an idiot to stay in front. He proved his point and the teem probably ordered them both to calm down.

Alonso is a very good driver and so is Hamilton. Hes at least as good as Alonso which is amazing considering his time in F1. I am impressed he remained cool and got the job done. His chance will definitely come soon Hopefully No1 at Silverstone .

So slow comapred to Alonso, who as you say yourself had less fuel than Hamilton and lets not forget Alonso is the reigning world champ. Hamilton looked like he couldn't get settled while Alonso was straight into the groove.

I really don't think Hamilton could have overtook Alonso. He only caught up to him because Alonso was saving the car.

Exactly a RUMOUR that he had more fuel, maybe he just wasn't as fast in quali as everyone thought or maybe they pulled him in early in case the Safet car was deployed

My opinion for what it's worth.

World Superbikes
British Superbikes
Moto GP

Brilliant. Nothing but respect for the riders. I'm a big fan.

F1 = The cigarette advert convoy. PANTS!

It's about time the Britsh press started to acknowledge the fact that we have a Brit leading the World Superbike Championship and give mention to young Bradley Smith for his acheivments last week. If you don't know who Bradley Smith is, then it just goes to prove my point.

Rant over!

I wouldn't really call it a convoy when only Ferrari have a tobacco company as a sponsor, and that will be gone by 2009
