Yes, it's odd but it is internet gaming. What's worse is the fact that in the UK it's not illlegal but in the US you would be branded a paedophile. Shame the US seem to no longer know what paedophile means!

You would be here in Tas too, although it's on a sliding scale, based on relative age difference between the younger and older partners.

As I understand it, 17 is the age of consent but as there are defences provided, it can be 15, providing the older partner isn't above the age of 20, or even as low as 12, provided the older partner is no older than 15.

extract from Wikipaedia:

"Tasmania

It is an offence in Tasmania to have sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 17 {s13-124}. However it is a defence if no anal sex occurred and the younger person was of or above 12 years and the older was not more than 3 years their senior or, if no anal sex occurred and the younger person was of or above 15 years and the older was not more than 5 years their senior [2] and {s13-124(3)}."

On the WoW thing, my son and his mates all play this through a "guild" based in Victoria. There was a helluva schermozzle just recently, when two marriages broke up as a result of a meeting at a Guild BBQ. The two offenders were chucked out of the Guild and banned from the Wow Oceania federation, or whatever it is.

I had visions of it being a bit like "Branded", where Jason McCord gets paraded in front of the troops, all his buttons ripped off and his sword snapped before being hurled into the dust in front of the fort gates.
