Looks interesting, wonder if it's suitable to be opened as an inland dive site???

Prob not, as some wannabe caving legend is bound to get trapped in a cottage and drown, and then it will be the dive site's fault, not that of the person venturing into overhead environments without the proper training.

Actually this brings to mind something that I have been thinking about for a little while. Many of our man made reservoirs, such as Rutland Water, Ladybower for example in the Midlands have remains of villages at the bottom of them. I know there were two villages lost when Rutland was created in the 70's.
I have wondered quite a few times how/if you would be able to go about diving them. Who would you have to approach to try and get permission, the water company responsible for the reservoir ?

no diving is allowed at rutland water or any of anglian waters reserviors, actually most water authorities dont allow diving in their reservoirs, probly to do with the fact that people would think about dead bodies in drinking water.

the villages in rutland water were flattened in the construction process when the earth bank was created at Empingham end.

the most fascinating construction story is the church which was saved from the waters.

sorry aboiut being a bore but I have looked into the possibilities before
