Nice to post balanced view.. and quite agree that it shouldn't have taken so long.

I bought my set up from CU.. my experience has been nothing but good, i phoned them up several times to chat through options and then took a day off work to travel up to the London shop to pick up all the gear and to be taken through the whole set up..

Glad you got it sorted anyway.. (post some piccies after you've tested it)

Regards,

Mike

I bought a video camera and got the housing from CU. I called them up to discuss cameras and options and they made a recommendation. I went with that recommendation and when I got to the shop for the camera I called CU on my mobile to see if they had the housing and lights in stock and they did. I bought the camera and then called them straight back and bought the housing and lights. Excellent service. Will always recommend them and their friendly service. I was a bit stressed out when I called them and the first thing they did was calm me down on the phone and go through everything.

Anyone got any experience with the Fuji F31D?

I'm thinking of buying it for the missus.

Yes B I'll then book her in with you for the course

I should think so too... lol

The F31 is a cracking little camera - i wanted to buy it myself but find the zoom on the Canon so much easier to use and many more pre set options - but saying that - the F31 really is a class of its own in low light - cracking..

Are you up the school tonight?

Suzi is sitting her Nitrox test and I'm sure she'd loved to have a look at your camera if possible please.

Plus I get my new mask and pipe

There is always the small update now.. that whilst trying to connect the Tray to the Camera whilst it has the INON adaptor on, this does not actually work... eh... they have sent the wrong tray

will it never end.. this digital photograpy malarky is proving rather testing...

I doubt if it is the wrong tray - if anything, you'll probably find that the tripod mount bolt that screws the camera to the tray is too short. The problem is that when you use an Inon mount, the mount adds a 5mm (approx) gap between the tray and the camera enclosure's tripod mount. Most trays aren't designed with Inon mounts in mind so the bolt they supply with them is almost always too short. I had this problem myself and ended up having to blag a longer bolt from Alan James (thanks again, Alan!) which did the trick nicely... just ask them to supply you with a longer bolt...

You hit the nail on the head however, the bolt issue is proving difficult for them now and now they want me to have an epoque tray rather than a sea&sea because there is no bolt???

If it's just a bolt and everything else fits why not just buy the bolt from Lamberts??

Failing that let me know what thread size and length you need (ooo err) and I'll bring my nuts and bolts up (ooo err again )
