1st time lucky on the Resurgam!

Alright chappies

Booked a trip with Elfyn with good tides for the weekend just gone and we managed to get on the Resurgam with not bad vis! Spent nearly an hour on it playing with George the resident conger and watching the general life which are conger-gated (!!) on it.

Mike Bowyer asked us to replace the anodes at the stern which we did first then just enjoyed the nice little dive.

We also managed to get on the Dakota (my 3rd time) but after me telling Elfyn that there is no chance of him dropping me on it for a 3rd time after 2 shit dives previously, he changed my view of the wreck. Fecking awesome is the word I would use, light and good vis and loads of life. Nothing like the previous times when it was pitched black and couldn't see jack shit.

Well done Elfyn, thanks for a top weekend and cheers to your mate John for letting us stay in his carvan (and keeping me and another lad in the vaults til 2am causing us to be ill the next day!). Also thanks to Mike Bowyer for allowing us to dive the Resurgam and at the same time allowing us to help preserve it.

I am one happy bunny after reading all the reports on here about having to make atleast 4 attempts before getting on it and I managed it first time.

The image attached is me at the stern of the Resurgam next to the newly fitted anodes.

Cheers!

That would be one one of mine glad you got on it, it certainly gives you respect for the Reverand who designed her doesn't it.

Safe diving,
Steve

yep the weather gods were smiling that day .
millpond conditions made it one of the most enjoyable charters i've had this year.
the boys done good and have reach god status for conservation work carried out on the old girl.
lesson learn't ,never go for a swift beer with resident deco station master john ,he always pushes the envelope to the limit.
if yer can't hack the bottom time the deco's gonna hurt the next day!!!!!!
