| I was there around 2 weeks ago and it was fine without gloves or indeed hood. 18 degs, but it may have cooled a little since then. I jumped in at Blue Lagoon last week without hood and gloves as the board said 19 degs, my suunto said 15 though, but was still ok for an hours quiet bimble. I think that is my limit though!

| The way I usually work it at Capernwray is no hood and gloves from late June to end of November. I was in there a couple of weeks ago and it was like bathwater. No need for the hood or gloves at all. I messed it up a bit last Sunday as I was at Dorothea and went in on the first dive without hood and gloves............ beyond 10 metres I had regretted it. It was 7 degrees!! No recommended without hood/gloves. The second dive I sensibly put on my hood. You try it at Capernwray, it feels like you are diving abroad without encumbrance of the hood/gloves. | If you are like me, you'll be needing about 25 mm thick gloves already, however if you are a normal person, then I'd just wear some 3mm ones, to be on the safe side..
