| Diver missing in Killary Harbour A lot of people will be familiar with this area, one of the most popular diving spots in Ireland. Let's hope they find him safe and well. RTÉ News: Missing diver sought in Killary Harbour Missing diver sought in Killary Harbour Monday, 1 October 2007 10:39 The search for a 42-year-old man, missing since he went diving in Killary Harbour in Connemara, resumed this morning. The diver, who is believed to be from the Tuam area of Co Galway but who was living in England, failed to resurface yesterday (Sunday)afternoon. He and three companions were scuba diving close to the entrance of the harbour. The operation will be extended to both the Galway and Mayo shores of the inlet later. Coastguard rescue teams and a helicopter, along with two lifeboats and members of the garda diving unit, are all involved in the operation. |
