| Its asking for what you think are factors in diving incidents like experience, training, equipment servicing, surface cover etc Its all rather subjective, for instance if you do not solo dive you will probably think that is a big factor in safety, however if you do solo dive you will know its quite safe if you are correctly kitted out and far safer than diving with the wrong buddy.

| When you have filled it in it gives a summery of your answers that were different to the answers I gave seems like a waste of time, one of those surveys that have questions designed to give the result that the survey producer wants. graham |

| I'm trying to find out if this is for real - there is no mention of the survey on the BSAC sites. Not turned up by the search tools anyway. Arkenford do a lot of research work for the MCA as a search of their site shows. If I can find out who is behind it, I'll let you know. Even though I might be ashamed to say. Adrian

I suspect a lot of my very carefully thought out safety procedures have caused me to tick the boxes for 'dangerous loony'. |

| MCA - isn't that the Coastguard? i would have thought they would be interested in divers from all agencies. Thanks, Adrian - it would be useful to know the agenda behind the survey

| Well I do market research for a living and have worked in the industry for 20 years and seen some really badly drawn up surveys. This is one. The company doing it are inept and the results will be worthless. My advice would be not to bother with it. I normally try to encourage people to do surveys as the hardest job we have (in the industry) is getting people to fill things in. Chris
